"The Art Of Recycling"
In my studio apartment, my trash can is my most valued asset -where I can go for art materials. To me, there are two kinds of trash: 1)stuff I throw out on purpose assuming it had no value. :2)stuff thrown out accidentally that I assumed had value. FunTasTickz attempts to addresses the issues that I call "The Disposable Society". The Artist, Dennis N. Easter, has created all of my artwork from discarded items from my trash can as well as from trash cans in my community in order to prevent the resources from ending up in a landfill where it can affect Climate Change.
A The Lesson That I have Learned ... One Person'S Trash Is Another Person's Treasure.
Excess And Scarcity, The Disposable Society"
Imagine this:as many artists search for affordable art supplies , ironically, miles away many tons of plastics, metals, glass, paper and other resources are being buried in landfills. Sadly, this is the co-existence of excess and scarcity in our culture.
Before it is too late, we must began to think outside the landfills or we'll be living In It, because we are running out of places to put our trash/resources. To help me the recycling efforts, I developed FunTasTickz.

We Have Been Warned
A Report from the Earth Day Network stated that there are currently 3,091 landfills in the U.S. which contain around 12 billion metric tons of plastics and other materials. Ironically, though plastic bottles are collected for recycling every week, 9 out of every ten tons of plastic bottles collected for recycling will end up in a landfill. The Earth Day Network went on to say that it is believe that plastics do not bio degrade and can remain buried for hundreds of years.
Another report found in Newsweek, the average American will throw away 80 lbs. of clothing annually. 84% will of the clothing will end up in a landfill where it will release harmful green house gases that can affect global warming. In addition to affecting global warming, the dyes and chemicals in the fabrics can leach into the soil contaminating both surface and ground water.
